MADA is pleased to announce that the organization shall enhance its nonprofit capacity in Greater New York as part of the leadership system. In addition, it shall develop and maintain relationships with other Deaf organizations across the United States and worldwide.
Here are the five positions and their responsibilities in MADA:
1. Team Leader represents the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
The CEO of MADA is responsible for providing overall leadership and strategic direction. The primary role involves overseeing the organization’s operations, managing its resources, and ensuring the achievement of its mission and objectives. CEO is also accountable for the organization’s performance and financial sustainability.
2. Team Treasurer represents the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
The CFO of MADA is responsible for managing its financial aspects and ensuring financial stability and transparency. The CFO role involves overseeing financial planning, budgeting, and reporting activities, managing risks, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
3. Team Public Relations represents the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO).
The CSO of MADA is responsible for developing and implementing the MADA organization’s strategic initiatives and measuring their impact. The CSO role works closely with the CEO, CFO, team members, Asian Deaf community members, and the general public to align the organization’s activities with its mission and long-term goals.
4. MADA team members have various responsibilities that contribute to the organization's mission and overall success. Here are some brief responsibilities of team members:

Collaboration: Team members are expected to collaborate effectively with other team members, leaders, volunteers, and community partners. They should actively participate in team meetings, contribute ideas, and work together towards achieving organizational goals.

Cultural Preservation: Team members are involved in preserving and promoting the Asian cultural heritage of the Asian Deaf community. This can include organizing cultural events, artistic programs, and language classes that celebrate and honor the diverse Asian identities within the community.

Event Planning: Team members conceptualize, plan, and execute various monthly cultural and social events. This includes venue selection and management, vendor coordination, program development, attendee management, on-site event management, evaluation, and team management. Effective event planning ensures that MADA's events are well-organized, successful, and aligned with the organization's mission of empowering and preserving Asian cultural values for the Asian Deaf community.

Outreach and Communication: Team members may be responsible for outreach activities, such as conducting community outreach, attending events, and building relationships with relevant stakeholders. They may also be involved in maintaining effective communication channels within the organization.

Volunteer Engagement: Team members may recruit, train, and manage volunteers who support the organization's activities and services. This includes providing guidance, supervision, and recognition to volunteers, ensuring a positive and productive volunteer experience.
5. Team Emeritus serves as an advisor role, mentoring all team leaders and members, transferring knowledge, contributing to strategic planning, participating in special projects, and representing the organization.
