We are thrilled to announce that our annual Asian KODA and Deaf Summer Camp will be held at a new location this year! We have chosen Bass River State Forest in Tuckerton, NJ, near Atlantic City, as the location for the camp from July 25-28, 2024.
Located in the heart of New Jersey, Bass River State Forest offers well-marked hiking trails with diverse terrain, spacious and well-maintained campsites, great fishing, boating, and swimming at the lake, and abundant wildlife for nature lovers and photographers.
The campground is situated amidst a lush forest, with plenty of space between campsites for privacy. Each site comes with a fire ring and a picnic table, and there are bathhouses with toilets and showers available. We are confident that this new camp location will provide an ideal environment for our campers to learn, grow, and have fun.
As always, our camp program will be tailored to the unique needs and experiences of KODA and Deaf kids. Our camp leaders, counselors, and volunteers, who are fluent in ASL and some Asian sign languages, are dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive community where campers can connect, share their stories, and build friendships.
Registration for the camp will open in March, and we would like you to register early to secure your spot. We anticipate high demand for this popular program, so don't wait to register!
We can't wait to welcome our campers to this new and exciting location and provide them with a memorable and enriching summer experience. If you have any questions or need more information, please don't hesitate to contact us at info@madanyc2002.org.
